Kwik-Klik has installed a 400 linear metre Kentledge hoarding around the Sheffield Hallam University Science Park in Sheffield city centre.
Bespoke site-specific wind calculations were prepared and approved before the installation of the robust 2.5m white PVC site perimeter hoarding. The calculations determine the intervals of the Kentledge blocks on the workside of the hoarding.
The Kwik-Klik installation team were on site for 7 days and the hoarding is expected to remain for up to four years as the new Science Park project begins with the demolition of some existing buildings.
Three sets of 4m wide vehicular gates and two digi-lock personnel doors have been located in optimum positions to allow secure access to the site for vehicles, machinery and project team personnel.
Phase 1 of the project will include new buildings and a new public realm space connected to the distinctive circular hubs of the Students Union Building seen in two of the photographs on the right.
The white PVC hoardings define the site boundaries and have a clean professional appearance which is in keeping with the scale and the prestige of the £220m campus masterplan. The sustainable, re-usable hoardings can be re-located as needed during the project.
