Over 1.5 linear kilometres of our Kentledge system was required to establish a secure perimeter around the construction site of Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport.
Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) was keen to use eco-friendly construction materials and we used our re-usable Kentledge system featuring panels made from 100% recycled PVC. The hoarding was supported by a robust, high security scaffold configuration anchored to large concrete blocks.
The hoarding provided safe pedestrian and road access to the airport during the major construction programme.
On completion of the project in late 2010 the Kentledge hoardings were dismantled and 810 linear metres were transported to Salford Quays, Manchester where they were used to create the site perimeter for the new ITV Granada Studios. The main contractor received construction Sustainability awards for both projects.
Inside the airport, we installed the Kwik-Klik Freestanding system in passenger areas to screen internal works.
